A new video-essay on AI Images

A year ago, I published “The Treachery of Images”, an essay in Outland about the essence of the AI image and its telos. I was then invited to speak at CAA in February this year and present the article.

I wanted to create a more visual representation of the text and so I made this video-essay. The footage is from the Sora launch video (AI-generated), National Geographic, Reuters, and from my AI-generated image series "Acheiropoieta" (2022).
